Existing methods:
We have of course several ways to show extra information of a record, in some extra space outside of the record. It shows up when a record is the active one. Here they are:
- Footer part. Also the header part, but that’s less obvious for the user.
- The detail part in a master-detail view. In this case the list should be a self-join portal. Unfortunately you the loose the possibility of having a webviewer in that portal.
- Popover element.
