We have nowadays several mechanisms to show details of a current record when browsing through a list view: footer, tooltip, pop-over, master-detail part etc.
It could also have been done with variable record heights in FileMakers list view but that’s still not possible.
However: at the forthcoming Dotfmp in Berlin FileMakerLab will present a new technique which will show al list view with records that have a heigt that dependes on the records content. Yes, variable record height.
FileMakerLab discovered a new way to have the same effect and I’ll present them.
It’s all done without webviewers, without any html or svg or whatsoever.
